From my Journal:
God showed me that the river flowed. No matter the day, bright or dark, the river flowed. With the power of God behind it, it could do nothing else. If the river finds an obstacle in its path, it does not worry, it simply flows around or over it. It believes in the force behind it, knows its own power, and follows the path ahead.
So we too need only to trust in the living waters of God's river within us to carry us the way we need to go. With God's power we need only be carried on his river of life, above and beyond the obstacles.
Nature knows its creator. We need to trust in the God of creation, and know that his power will carry us; through pastures green and still, stormy waters, bright days and dark - supported and impelled by his strength.

"I have created you and cared for you since you were born. I will be your God through all your life-time, yes; even when your hair is white with age. I made you and I will care for you. I will carry you along and be your saviour." Isaiah 46:3-4
